When adults become preoccupied, children are at risk

Once you finally set up your swimming pool for the year it's time to sit back relax and enjoy it but every year we have deaths due to drowning and I wanted to share this with you because you always Think, it will never happen to you or your loved ones.
Drowning is the second most common cause of death from injuries for children under 14, and it can happen much faster than you would assume, sometimes in less than 2 minutes. Even if the children are not in the pool, it may be possible for them to wander into the pool, or slip and fall in. Drowning has been a leading cause of death from unintentional injuries to children under 5 years old. To address this, CPSC has set a strategic goal to reduce the rate of drownings of children under age 5 by 10 percent over the next 10 years.
